It's almost Valentine's day!
This holiday is right up there with Christmas and Halloween for card making and paper crafting. I love it!
So welcome to this installment of the Dreamweaver Design Team's theme of Love and Friendship. I get crazy about hearts, so that is what you will get this month. Remember to leave us some love and check out the other team member's pages. If you want to play along, leave your link on her Lynell's Blog with Mr. Linky or email her.
Here is the first Valentine for the month of Love and Friendship:
Ingredients
Dreamweaver Stencil Ruffled Heart LG747 and Swirl Heart LL567
Dreamweaver Embossing Pastes Glossy Red and Crackle
Ranger White Adirondack Acrylic dabber
Masking Paper or wide painter's paint
Method
On the orange card stock mask the edges.
I tore the painter's tape unevenly to create the rough edge effect.
Paint in with the white dabber.
Remove the masking material and let dry.
Lay down the Ruffled Heart so it is centered on the white paint.
Mask to protect the edges from the embossing paste.
Spread the red embossing paste across the stencil.
Remove the stencil and masking.
Clean the stencil.
Once the red paste is dry position the Swirl Heart on top of the red paste.
Mask to protect the card and to hold the stencil in place.
Spread the crackle paste through the stencil.
Remove the stencil and clean it.
Set the card aside to dry.
If the crackle feels cold to the touch, it is not fully cured and should sit some more.
Once all is dry, layer the card up and you are a Valentine or Anniversary or what ever card.
Leave me a note and then check out the other team member's work.
Have fun and make art today.
Lee
