Happy New Year Y'all!
We're off to a new start for 2013 with Dreamweaver Stencils. Our challenge for January is: Fresh Start. If you have any great creations, play along with us, link to Lynell's Blog or email her your art using Dreamweaver Stencils.
Speaking of Lynell, her birthday is tomorrow, so we all are wishing her a very happy birthday!
Stencils used:
Ingredients
Dreamweaver Stencils LJ890 Flourishes, LJ920 Happy Birthday large
Tsukineko Birthstone Kaleidacolor ink pad
Tsukineko Gold Brilliance ink pad
Ranger Watermark Resist ink pad
Ranger Foam Ink Blending Tool
Speedball soft brayer
Glossy card stock (not photo paper)
Card stock for layering
Method
Tape the Happy Birthday stencil to the glossy card stock.
With the foam ink blending tool, pounce in the watermark resist ink.
Remove the stencil and clean it.
Next, brayer on ink from the Kaleidacolor pad.
Repeat each color several times.
Stay in your lane so you don't get the colors mixed up.
Rotate the paper to change color order.
Once you have covered the paper with ink, give it a good buff with a clean, dry paper towel.
Now tape the flourishes stencil over the colored card.
With a clean foam ink blending tool, pounce in the gold ink.
Remove the stencil and clean it.
The Brilliance will dry on the gloss paper.
Layer the card on card stock.
You are done with your first birthday card of the year!
