Hi Y'all
Welcome to the last of January. You sitll have time to play with us this month if you desire or start creating something nice for Valentine's Day for next month. Don't forget: our challenge for January is: Fresh Start. If you have any great creations, play along with us, link to Lynell's Blog or email her your art using Dreamweaver Stencils.
Ingredients
Dreamweaver Stencils LJ854 Confetti and LM2014 Bonne Fete (Happy Birthday in French)
Dreamweaver Pearlescent Paste and Glossy Blue Paste
Kaliedacolor Riviera Ink Pad
Ribbon by May Arts
Glossy Card Stock
Card stock for layering
Paste spreader by Dreamweaver
Brayer
Painter's Tape
Method
Using the brayer, roll it over the Riviera Ink Pad.
Remember to stay in the lanes, that is keep your color order the same to keep the pad clean.
Brayer the color on the glossy paper.
Rotate the paper when it is time to work on the other half.
Repeat until the paper is nicely coated with ink.
Lay the Confetti stencil down on the paper, tape it with the painter's tape.
Spread the Pearl embossing paste over the stencil using the paste spreader.
Remove the stencil, clean it and the spreader immediately.
While the card is drying, tape down the ribbon.
Tape the Bonne Fete stencil on top of the ribbon.
Mask the ends to keep the paste from getting on the ribbon.
Spread the blue paste through the Bonne Fete stencil.
Carefully remove the stencil, clean it.
Once the paste is dry, layer the ribbon on top of the confetti background.
I use double stick tape to secure the ribbon to the back of the card.
Then layer onto colored card stock.
Done, another card under your belt!
Leave me a love note and then check out the other cool creations by the design team. Their links are listed at the right.
Have fun and make art today!
